Set Report
Note: I'm unsure if this is from this episode
Filming has been going on at Bannerman Road with full cast - SJS, Luke, Clyde & Rani

- Rani's mum and dad walk over to her and SJS and say "Where do you think you've been, you should know better than to get involved"
- SJS and Rani's mum discuss something outside the house, something to do with looking over an article or something.
THREE: SECRETS OF THE STARS
Written by Gareth Roberts, directed by Michael Kerrigan
These episodes feature a Psychic, Martin Trueman (Russ Abbott) doing a show at the 'East Acton New Theatre'.
Set report
A chain people stand around the front of the theatre, holding hands and staring at the sky.
SJA, Luke, Clyde and Rani approach and talk to a blond haird woman who holds up her hand.
After some words, the woman and a tall dark-haired man parted hands and stepped aside to let the awesome foursome go inside.
Rani turned round as they walked in, looking mistrustingly at the woman.
FOUR: THE MARK OF THE BERSERKER
Written by Joseph Lidster, directed by Joss Agnew
For this episode Clyde takes centre-stage and his family are intoduced (Paul & Carla) Paul seems affluent, and the two are "an unbeatable combination", according to producer Nikki Smith. "It's powerful and compelling stuff, and promises to be one of our strongest stories yet."
Clyde's dad has been seen to be "possessed" in the trailer.
Set Report
Note: I'm unsure if these are from this episode
It showed the gang all running to SJs car and jumping in while SJ drives off
A second scene involved the UNIT base inside the Toys R Us car park, and they were filming a scene involving Luke and Clyde in a red Porche behind the building, looking out onto Penarth Marina. In a different scene, Clyde's dad was also there, so speculation suggests that he may be wealthy and own the car
Later on, the filming moved to a yacht club, so perhaps Clyde's dad owns a boat as well?!
There was also a small filming unit in a park. Clyde's Dad was sitting on a swing, while Clyde talked animatedly to him, then they both ran offFIVE: THE TEMPTATION OF SARAH JANE SMITH
Written by Gareth Roberts, directed by Graeme Harper
Appears to be the story in which Sarah and Luke time-travel to 1951, via a "fissure in time". Sarah is in 50s dress, and Luke is dressed in modern clothes.
Set reports
1st report of filming
Set dressing included posters for the "Foxgrove Village Fete, 18 August" as Sarah & Luke appear

Some dialogue was caught, something along the lines of:
Sarah: I don't understand this mystery
Luke: it's too late now.
While walking around the fete, they hear a mother at a stall say to her crying baby "there there , Sarah-Jane". SJ & Luke introduce themselves, under the false name of Beckham and the mother says she's Barbara Smith. Sarah's father also turns up and says he parked his car in front of a war memorial
As its a 'guess the number of gobstoppers in a jar' stall, Luke has a go. And because its Luke, we can assume that he gets it spot on, and Sarah's mother wonders how he came to that number. A complicated mathematical explanation is given.
The filming then moved to the village square. Sarah and Luke spot her fathers car next to the war memorial, Sarah is clutching a newspaper and we somehow find out that her parents died in a car accident.
Despite the wise words of Luke, Sarah decides to change history in order to save her parents. Out comes the sonic lipstick, and nothing bad appears to happen. However, later in the day Sarah's mum is running around with Luke chasing clues... wonder where Sarah has gone?
Since this episode appears to be about time travel, it is quite probable that this is where the Graske will feature. Plus there were rumors about a blue box on set...
SIX: ENEMY OF THE BANE
Written by Phil Ford, directed by Graeme Harper
The finale will consist of the return of many known faces! And from the title, we can already see what one of them is!
Supposedly Mr. Smith begins to receive information that an attack on Earth is imminent - at the same time, Luke begins to experience strange dreams, with a familiar female foe haunting him.
Coincendentally, Sarah-Jane is receiving a visit from an old friend at the same time: Sir Alistair Gordon Lethbridge-Stewart - formerly Brigadier of U.N.I.T (or at least, the U.N.I.T of the old days...)
There's apparently a "lovely scene" with Sarah, the Brigadier and Luke up in Sarah's attic. It's a trip down memory lane; especially when Sir Alistair sees a picture of Harry Sullivan...
1st report of filming
Well, apparently a florists plays an important role within the story and that makes sense considering the scenes that were filmed here:
Well, despite Sir Alistair telling Sarah that warfare isn't always the answer, he does apparently have a gun concealed in his cane, and is getting involved with events.

And whats all this about a flower shop? Whats this attack that was picked up my Mr Smith?

Only the Sontarans! Having formed an alliance with someone very familiar, they want "blood revenge" for their defeat in "The Sontaran Stratagem"
2nd report of filming
With everyone present methinks, including the Brigs car!
And Mrs Wormwood was hanging around as well
And the Sontarans, though I have no idea where they fit into all this
SJ slams a car door and shouts "Luke! I told you to stay away from her!". Mrs Wormwood then said something in reply. As well as this Rani is heard saying "It's hardly a stealth operation, half of UNIT is on its way right now!", and Sir Alistair said something like "Miss Chandra's right, we should leave".
We also saw Wormwood stepping out onto the driveway towards the Bane, taking off her ring and saying something like "Bane Kindred, humans are off the menu".
And then this also happens:
Speculation is that the goo is from some explosion (rather like when the Slitheen go boom) so perhaps the Mrs Wormwood in her Bane form has finally met her end?
Info/Rumours:
> It's not clear what episode this may be in, but apparently Julian Bleach may be making a cameo as Davros, appearing in "unseen footage from journey's end, and post journey's end. Apparantly Sarah Jane has nightmares of davros surviving the finale, and new footage was filmed, possibly showing davros teleporting and cursing over the Doctor etc."
> Paul Marc Davies (The Trickster from Whatever Happened to Sarah Jane?) has revealed that he will be doing more work on SJA - does that mean the return of the Trickster? The Graske are back.... (thanks to themyrka)
An interview with Nikki Smith (new producer of SFX magazine)
- Nikki doesn't know whether or not Rani's name is an in-joke. This makes the suggestion that Rani is The Rani totally false.
- The bulk of the FX work is now being handled in-house at BBC Wales with the Mill provided a few of the more complex FX sequences (including the return of the Sontaran spaceship).
- When asked about the Doctor's appearance in SJA, Nikki says, "watch this space".

Anjli Mohindra will be playing a new character called "Rani"?
Rani?
OK...
That's so obvious it's got to be a red herring, surely?
wATS DA " BRIG? "
BRIG is short For The Brigadier!
Rani is probably not the Rani. Rani means "queen", and is used as an Indian girl's name.
I've looked at the freeze frame, definitely not Daleks.
That Martin Trueman guy is in the clown story.
Rani is definatley not "The Rani". She is a teenager from Indian descent and she is introduced as an "SJA kid/companion" in the show (about episode 2 or 3).
The Daleks thing is pure speculation.
I myself very much doubt that Rani will turn out to be THE Rani, but it's not totally beyond the realms of possibility.
It is known that TimeLords (and Ladies) generally tend to regenerate into younger and younger, shorter-lived bodies, at a rate that implies that the last regeneration would be an adolescent with a human-like rate of aging.
Also, one of the forms that Romana 'tried-on' before choosing her new regeneration was a blue-skinned creature, somewhat similar to an Andorian from Star Trek.
As such I don't think it's that implausible for the Rani to have regenerated into an Indian teenager. Take into account the genetic-code-modifying proporties of a chameleon arch, and it appears even more likely.
That said, I wouldn't bet the family jules on it being her, but there's no good reason why it couldn't be - and so I wouldn't dismiss it out of hand just yet.
They'd have to explain the fact that she has an existant family. Regeneration into an infant and then adoption? Seems far-fetched.
In another vein altogether, I read that her father had a secret. Perhaps he is an alien and Rani is half-alien? We have little information, however.
Calling her "Rani" is a total tease, though. They knew what people would think.
I don't think the girl being the Rani is totally far-fetched at all. We know the Who team were playing with names with Donna Noble now (her name basically means "Lady" and she was the "best *temp* in Chiswick" - and then she ends up as part Time Lady? not Romana or the Rani, but still... yeah) ...
So what's in the girl's name? A WHOLE FREAKING LOT. If you go do a (very little) digging in Wikipedia, you'll find that in the one of the novels (Divided Loyalties by Gary Russell) the Rani's given name (or part of it) was "Ushas," which also happens to be the name of a Vedic (and thus Hindu) sky diety/goddess...
...and what's the girl's name? Rani Chandra? SERIOUSLY? "Rani" itself means "Queen" or "Lady," and as a girl's name "Chandra" means "Moon Goddess" (Chandra is another Hindu sky diety, a moon god).
"Ushas, the Rani" (Sky Goddess, the Lady/Queen)
"Rani Chandra" (Lady/Queen Moon/Sky Goddess)
Yeah. I don't think that's any sort of coincidence. And if it's a joke, it's a very mean joke... but I don't think it is, otherwise Nikki Smith might have said so. Appearing not to know anything about it (rather than lying point-blank about it) is very much "hide the plot twist," even if we'd expect an outright lie after RTD. :P
Calling it now. Rani is the Rani (but goodness... it does just seem TOO obvious, doesn't it? still makes me doubt myself... lol).
NO CBOX?! tut tut lol
where do i post this:
http://spoilertv-comiccon.blogspot.com/2008/07/doctor-who-new-promo-video.html
you'll be interested to know that it was filmed at the comic convention and will be released in the autumn on tv
Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh! I've had an idea!
I originally thought that Rani might be the last regeneration of The Rani, but what if she's the 'zeroth' i.e. the original version?
Here we go...
Rani's father has a secret, maybe that secret is stored within a fob-watch?
Yes, I know what you're thinking; that old cheshnut again, but after all the rumours about chameleon-arches it'd be nice to have a story that actually involved one!
Basically my theory goes like this:
Rani's father was a Timelord, he came to Earth and turned himself into a human after falling in love with Rani's mother.
They then had Rani, a child with the DNA of a humanised Timelord.
Rani eventually finds her father's fob-watch and, due to the genetic compatability, takes on his Timelord escence herself. Thus becoming THE Rani.
And it's not even that contrived an explaination!
Any thoughts/comments?
Maria's leaving? Darn. I hate it when primary characters (especially in a small cast) leave. Often feels like an entirely new show afterwards (not always a good thing if you already liked the show).
And I liked Maria - though I liked her parents more. Fun characters.
Hope the new girl isn't a cookie-cutter replacement and has a distinct personality and such. The creative team on this show seems good enough not to make that mistake, but you never know.
Re: The Temptation of Sarah Jane; She tris to save her parents from dying. Sarah jane never knew her parents as they died when she was very young...
If she goes back in time to save her parents that could easily be the episode withe the graske and the trickster. Their episode last season featured a similar plot.
I have to say, the new season sounds excellent! Can't wait!
Hmm...
Sarah Jane going back in time, & trying to save her parents from dying in their car?
Freaky evil white-faced clowns?
Quietly getting rid of the 'n00bie' character from the last season with a few throw-away lines of dialog?
Wait a minute!
This isn't The Sarah Jane Adventures!
It's Ashes to Ashes!
HOLD ON HOLD ON HOLD ON!!!!
are you saying theres 12 episodes and five adventures, coz if so then theres gonna have to be either 2 three part stories or 1 4 part story, and that didn't happen last season. Or am I just missing something obvious, but in my defence its not clear from above.
'12 stories 5 adventures' wt?! or is it 12 stories and only five of them are adventures???lol
I assume that "12 episodes and 5 stories" is just an error; the page clearly counts six stories.
Does anyone know who's playing the Sontaran? Also what is the Sontaran Ship is it the Scout Ships or the Warship?
It can't be the rani because they would'nt put it in sarah Jane Adventures they would put it in doctor who.
I don't know if this is news or not, but on the BBC's SJA site under "Secret Files" it has a couple entries for Season 2 already, "Atmos Case" and "Lost Planets Case." The five remaining slots say "Top Secret." The page for Series 1 had seven slots as well, one for each episode plus "The Deffrey Vale Case" (for DW's "School Reunion"). I'm thinking the Lost Planets one is probably just to cover what happened in DW's season finale, but what about the Atmos one? Maybe the episode with the Sontaran has flashbacks to the Atmos episodes in DW and that's why the Doctor's rumoured to make an appearance...? Or maybe the Atmos stuff is just background info and the Doctor has to come back to help save the day... hrm...
Well, "The Last Sontaran" is a direct sequel to The Sontaran Stratagem / The Poison Sky, so there would be background material - ditto for anything Sarah-Jane's involved in outside the main SJA continuity. So yeah, it's just background; I wouldn't expect them to be referred to very heavily in the actual episodes.
link 2 see sja spoiler i have spotted
badwolftardis.blogspot.com
It may just be me but in the episode with the clowns, that building looks oddly like the Electro, building that they used in Torchwood
Sarah Jane, the ATMOS file is simply about what happened in the sontaran stratagem in doctor who because Sarah Jane is bound to know because ATMOS was everywhere.
sum1 might hav said this, but sja are to air on nickelodeon australia as confirmed by the dr who club of south australia
sarah jane adventures series 2 is over series 3 is coming soon.
This is the best show ever made. I've watched every epidsode like three times, and I still can't get enough of it.Having spent some time in the environment such as "THE UNIT" , i enjoy every minute of the story plot.
